DOWNWIND PERFORMANCE - How about down wind?

In medium-force downwind conditions the windvane has about the same input as in light air. The boat is going with the wind and the signal to the airvane is very weak. Friction in the connection from airvane to water paddle is deadly. The Monitor ball- and roller-bearing system is far more sensitive than bushings, this makes it possible for the vane to steer better than a good helmsman in these difficult conditions.

Call or email us and ask for our windvane selfsteering DVD - it's got videos of Monitors working in both light and strong winds, and it's free!
